About Us

Waggintail dachshunds is located in the beautiful mountain valley of Sanpete county in Chester and Wales Utah. I (Lori Pierce)am the primary breeder and owner. I have owned dachshunds for 24 years and have breed them for 13 years on and off. I currently have 2 males and 6 female dachshunds along with our many other animals that my family and I own on our small ranch. Laura (a good friend) has 2 females and 1 male mini dachshund and like myself has many other animals on her small farm. We share this website and have all of our dogs on here. We both have children that spoil and love the puppies before they go to there new homes. As breeders we have researched the breed a great deal and feel that we have sufficient knowledge to be responsible breeders. We are very proud of the quality lines and breeding dogs that we have. I have invested a lot of time and money in making sure that we have the best quality dogs to produce the best quality puppies that we can. They have wonderful temperments to go along with there great looks. Not to mention the fact that they are wonderful pets and companions to us and our families. Here at Waggintail dachshunds all of our dogs are first and foremost our beloved pets and they are not kept in any kennels. We each own small 5 acre lots where we keep and raise all of our animals in a very loving environment. As breeders we also want only the best for our puppies so we do not sell to any puppy mills or large kennels, And we screen any prospective parent thoroughly.

We do Ship our puppies weather permiting for an additional fee to most states, however, we do not ship outside the united states! Fees depend upon the airlines and cost of vet health certificate, but usually runs between $150.00 and $200.00. We also will travel to some areas to meet you with your new Puppy or unique pet for the cost of the gas to get there and home. Payments can be made by cash or you may use a credit card or e-check through our Pay Pal account. No puppy will leave our home before full payment is recieved and cleared through the bank or paypal account. If you choose to use paypal you must add the 3% charge that they add for us to use there service. Checks may be used for deposits on puppies only. A $100.00 deposit is required to hold a puppy for puppies costing up to $500.00, a deposit of $200.00 is required to hold any puppy costing more than $500.00. The puppies that we raise are breed to be miniature dachshunds but as you know all miniatures come from standards breed down by breeding the smallest males and females to produce smaller dogs, therefore we can not guarentee the size of any puppy at adulthood. We raise the best quality puppies that we can, but, we sell most of them at an early age. Because of this and because it takes until a puppy is older to determine its full potential we can not guarantee the showing and breeding ability of any of our puppies.

We use nuvet vitamins on all of our dogs and highly recomend it. We feel so strongly about the vitamin supplement that we have now added it to our health guarantee and require that all puppies that we sell must be kept on NuVets Plus for the durration of the health guarantee or that guarantee becomes null and void. It is such a great supplement and it does so much to help prevent so many problems in the dogs that we just feel this is one way to ensure that our puppies continue to get the vitamines and nutrients that they need through out there lives.
